A intimate soap blending class held by Naomi Ingleton in the FarmacyCo Apothecary.
In this workshop you will learn how to make your own 100% natural soap and shampoo bars using the hot process method. This workshop is perfect for beginners and those who are environmentally conscious. You will learn how to prepare, make and pour your soap and shampoo bars and how to do so safely.
We’ll begin with a thorough explanation of the equipment and materials required and how to do so affordably, safely and sustainably. We will then move on to a detailed demonstration of how to mix and prepare the soap base and what additives work.
All materials and tools are supplied on the day. You will go home with your very own custom made soap and a shampoo bar plus instructions for how to continue at home.
We will use caustic soda to make the lye required to make soap. You will be shown how to use this safely.
No creative experience necessary.
We’ll be making goat milk and olive oil soaps as well as some bath bombs, you’ll get to take some home with you!
The evening will be immersive botanical blending, recipe and instructions supplied and a sneaky glass of Herbal infused Prosecco as well as nibbles.
