Welcome to our immersive workshop on essential oil distillation and hydrosol production, where nature’s bounty meets the artistry of herbal alchemy. In this hands-on experience, participants will delve into the centuries-old tradition of extracting aromatic essences from in-season herbs, unlocking the secrets of fragrant oils and rejuvenating hydrosols.
Our workshop begins with a journey through the lush landscapes of aromatic herbs, where participants will learn to identify and harvest the freshest botanical specimens at their peak potency. With expert guidance, attendees will gather a selection of herbs, carefully chosen for their aromatic profiles and therapeutic properties.
Once our herb bounty is collected, it’s time to immerse ourselves in the ancient craft of distillation. Under the guidance of seasoned distillers, participants will learn the art and science behind this age-old process, from loading the stills with fragrant herbs to carefully controlling temperatures and pressures to coax out the precious essences within.
As the steam begins to rise, so too does the anticipation of capturing nature’s essence. Participants will witness firsthand the transformation of herbaceous vapours into liquid gold, as pure essential oils condense and collect in the distillation vessels. With each drop that drips from the still, a symphony of scents fills the air, a testament to the botanical wonders at play.
But our journey doesn’t end there. Alongside essential oils, our workshop explores the lesser-known but equally valuable hydrosols – the gentle, water-based counterparts to essential oils. Participants will learn the art of capturing these aromatic waters, brimming with the subtle nuances and healing properties of the herbs from which they’re derived.
Throughout the workshop, attendees will engage their senses in a botanical feast, sampling fragrant oils and hydrosols, exploring their therapeutic benefits, and learning the art of blending for aromatic harmony and wellness.
